Soldiers of the Regiment Private Thomas Smith in Lancaster Police Book Private Thomas Smith, also know as Thomas Adamson, was arrested on 21st January 1898 for larceny from stable, he was sentenced to four calendar months with hard labour. He was liberated on 3rd October 1898. The subsequent list of convictions to 1905 clearly indicate that Thomas Smith did not become a reformed character.
