		Sports Medal, Football, King’s Own Royal Regiment, Chancellor Cup, 
		1930-31, to Private Atherton
		Stated to have been won by the King’s Own after a match between the 
		King’s Own and Royal Horse Artillery. The Chancellor Cup appears to have 
		been awarded to troops in Palestine.
		Possibly Private George Albert Atherton, number 3708337, of the 1st 
		Battalion, King’s Own Royal Regiment. Enlisted 1927. Listed as 
		discharged in 1939, but transferred to Army Reserve 23 Dec 1934.
