Soldiers of the Regiment

Sergeant John Thomas Riley Beresford

John Thomas Riley Beresford served with the King's Own Royal Regiment from before the start of the Second World War, including service with the 2nd Battalion in Palestine, until the early 1950s.  After he retired from the army he worked for North Western Buses in Northwich and then later for Manchester Corporation Buses.  He retired in 1985 and passed away one month before his 89th birthday in June 2009.
