Soldiers of the Regiment

Private C Oswalds, 2nd Battalion, King's Own Royal Lancaster Regiment

Private C Oswalds, number 5716, served with the 2nd Battalion of the King's Own Royal Lancaster Regiment in the South African War (1899-1902) when the photograph below was taken.  He was still serving in 1905, but this time with the 1st Battalion when he was granted a month long furlough.


One of the soldiers is assumed to be Private C Oswalds of the 2nd Battalion, King's Own Royal Lancaster Regiment, whilst serving in South Africa during the South African War 1899-1902.
