Soldiers of the Regiment

Warrant Officer Class 2 Jeremiah Beresford

Warrant Officer Class 2 Jeremiah Beresford enlisted on 4th August 1908 as number 9770 with the King's Own Royal Lancaster Regiment.  During the First World War he was transferred to the Machine Gun Corps and received the number 18751 with them.  This number was later changed to 7808106 on the creation of army numbers after the First World War.   On disbandment of the Machine Gun Corps, he was transferred back to the King's Own, and it was with the Regiment that he was awarded the Long Service and Good Conduct Medal.
