Soldiers of the Regiment

Private John Lockhead

Private John Lockhead, number 2226, of the 1st/4th Battalion, King's Own Royal Lancaster Regiment.  He went overseas on 3rd May 1915 with the rest of the battalion.  He was killed in action on 8th August 1916 during the Battle of the Somme in the action at Guillemont.
