From Lion and the Rose Spring 1948, p34-35 ‘When dining in town with friends some weeks ago I met a lady who had been a nurse with the QA's in Tobruk in 1942. She produced some photographs which she had taken at the time amongst which was the enclosed, upon which I pounced! A Mussolini monument put to good use. As far as she could remember the photograph was taken about Feb 1942 or Mar 1942 and the monument stands about 10 miles west of Tobruk at the Acroma junction of the Tobruk-Derna road.  Lieutenant Colonel R P F White MC.
