      Group of officers and sergeants of the 1st/4th Battalion, including 
      Colour Sergeant John T Preston, from Dalton in Furness.  The postmark 
      is dated 28th September, 1914 and posted from Twyford, Berkshire.  
      Colour Sergeant Preston enlisted in the 1st Volunteer Battalion of the 
      King's Own Royal Lancaster Regiment in around 1897.

      Sergeant Major is seated and the others are sergeants.

		Number 149 Private Lishman Wilson. From London Road, Lindale in Furness, 
		he was serving with B Company in June 1914.  He was born on 23rd 
		November 1882.
