World War One 55th West Lancashire Division Graves Registration Fund
An example of the disc can be seen on the grave of Captain Albert Ellwood. An appeal for funds was made across the North West of England and to all the regiments within the 55th Division, which included the King's Own Royal Lancaster Regiment, King's Regiment, Loyal Regiment, South Lancashire Regiment and Lancashire Fusiliers.
See also the Membership Card of the 55th Division Comrades' Association. Only a proportion of our collections are on display at anyone time. Certain items are on loan for display in other institutions. An appointment is required to consult any of our collections which are held in store. |
