Royal Lancashire Militia

Springfield Barracks, Lancaster

New barracks were purpose built for the 1st Royal Lancashire Militia in Lancaster in 1856.  They had only a short life with the Militia moving to Bowerham Barracks by 1883 and the building seeing other use, first by the Artillery Volunteers and then later commercial use.
