Photograph of Captain Charles Lawrence Husband

Captain Charles Lawrence Husband is shown as having been commissioned as 2nd Lieutenant into the King's Own Royal Lancaster Regiment on 19th December 1916.  He was attached to the 11th Battalion from April 1917 and in June 1917 joined the 8th Battalion, but attached to the 1st/5th Battalion. He was promoted Lieutenant on 19th June 1918.  He was Acting Captain with the 1st/5th Battalion of the King's Own from 14th August 1918 to 28th January 1919.

Postcard, front and rear, sent to Lance Corporal C Dodd, by his son.  Addressed to Lance Corporal C Dodd, H Company, 5th King's Own, Number 9 Post, care of Captain Carter, Great Western Hotel, Swindon.  The card is postmarked Fleetwood, 1st October 1914.
