Photograph: ‘Grave’ for the 2/1st Westmorland and Cumberland Yeomanry.  Formed in 1914, by about Jul 1915 in newly formed Western Mounted Brigade.  by Apr 1916 in area of Cupar Fife, Brigade became the 21st Mounted Brigade.  Jul 1916 became Cyclist Unit in 14th Cyclist Bde, still at Cupar, and there until the end of 1917.  The mock up of a tomb-stone states ‘to take our horses and give us bicycles.’
