1918. Sentence was commuted to 7 years penal servitude and confirmed

Private F Dowey, number 37339, 1st/4th King’s Own, was
sentenced to 10 days Field Punishment Number One by Commanding
Officer on 17 Sep 1918 for “When on Active Service” dirty on 9 am
parade. C Coy.
Private H Cheney, number 40969, Private W Porter, number 11285, and
Private W T Kells number 29348, all of C Company, 1st/4th King’s
Own, were sentenced to five days Field Punishment Number One and
ordered to pay for deficiencies for “When on active service” losing
by neglect Iron Rations. 17 Sep 1918.
