Unveiling of Carnforth War Memorial 1924 In December 2004 the museum received a tin of nitrate film which recorded the unveiling of Carnforth's War Memorial in November 1924. The museum had no means of viewing the film, but with the assistance of the North West Film Archive we are pleased to make available digital copies (on DVD) of the original film! This rare film is available from the Museum on DVD - see Sales page The 'stills' from the 6 minute long film give an idea of the subject! The opening title The 'location shot' the Kinema in Carnforth School children gather to watch Veterans of the Great War march to the ceremony More images on Carnforth Page Two |
